Description

Nutella Strawberry Crepes are light, thin pancakes filled with creamy Nutella and fresh strawberries, perfect for a quick, delicious dessert or snack. Ready in under 30 minutes with simple ingredients, these crepes offer a delightful balance of sweetness and freshness that can be customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

Crepe Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Filling

  • Nutella (to taste, about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, washed and sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: Combine all-purpose flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and thin enough to coat the back of a spoon. Let it rest for about 10 minutes to allow the flour to fully absorb the liquid for tender crepes.
  2. Cook the Crepes: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan, swirling it immediately to spread thinly and evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until edges lift and the bottom is golden, then flip and cook the other side for another minute. Transfer cooked crepes to a plate and stack gently to keep warm.
  3. Prepare the Filling: Wash and slice fresh strawberries into thin pieces. Allow Nutella to reach room temperature or warm slightly in the microwave for 10 seconds to make spreading easier.
  4. Assemble the Crepes: Spread a thin layer of Nutella across the surface of each crepe, then add sliced strawberries over half of the crepe. Fold the crepe in half or into quarters for a pretty presentation. Repeat until all crepes are filled and served.

Notes

  • Resting the batter improves texture, making crepes tender and flexible.
  • Use room temperature ingredients to mix smoothly and prevent lumps.
  • Don’t overload with Nutella to avoid soggy crepes.
  • Keep crepes warm by stacking and covering lightly with foil.
  • Cook on medium heat to prevent burning or undercooking.
