Description

Quick and flavorful Potsticker Stir Fry combining crispy pan-fried potstickers with vibrant vegetables and a tangy sauce. Ready in under 20 minutes, this one-pan dish is perfect for busy weeknights, customizable to your taste, and family-friendly with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

Potstickers

  • 12 frozen or fresh potstickers

Vegetables

  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 cup snow peas or snap peas
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

Aromatics & Oils

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potstickers: Heat a splash of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange potstickers flat in the pan and cook until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water, cover, and steam for 6-8 minutes until cooked through and tender inside.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics and Vegetables: Remove the potstickers and set aside. In the same pan, add a bit more vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add sliced bell peppers and snow peas and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp and colorful.
  3. Make the Stir Fry Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey or brown sugar until combined. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and toss to coat evenly, letting the flavors meld.
  4. Combine Potstickers and Sauce: Return the cooked potstickers to the pan and gently toss with the vegetables and sauce. Cook together for another 1-2 minutes to heat through and blend the flavors.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sliced green onions on top for a fresh finish. Serve hot immediately for the best crispy and saucy experience.

Notes

  • Use a non-stick skillet to ensure potstickers crisp evenly and don’t stick.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan to allow proper browning without steaming.
  • Add the sauce only after vegetables are cooked to avoid soggy textures.
  • Adjust honey or brown sugar to balance sweetness to your preference.
  • For extra freshness, toss in chopped cilantro or basil as a garnish.
