Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

Assembly and Frying

  • 810 egg roll wrappers
  • Butter or oil for frying (about 1/4 cup)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Mix softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in diced fresh strawberries without mashing to maintain texture.
  2. Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper flat. Place about 2 tablespoons of filling near one corner. Fold the corner over the filling, tuck in the sides tightly, and roll up firmly to seal using a little water on the edge.
  3. Fry the Egg Rolls: Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat. Place egg rolls seam side down and fry 2-3 minutes per side, turning until all sides are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Drain and Serve: Remove egg rolls and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Let cool slightly and optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Keep cheesecake filling chilled until assembly to prevent soggy wrappers and ease handling.
  • Use moderate filling amount to avoid bursting wrappers during frying.
  • Seal wrapper edges well with water for a neat, leak-free roll.
  • Maintain oil temperature at medium heat for crispy outsides without burning.
  • Try baking at 375°F for 12-15 minutes or air frying for a healthier alternative.
